About Us
Atypical Parenting Collective's coaching is distinguished by specialized expertise and extensive experience. With over 20 years in classrooms, therapy settings, and homes, the team provides practical, real-world support tailored to each family. In addition to behavior support, guidance is offered for navigating the K-12 school experience, including understanding IEPs, decoding school documents, interpreting evaluations, and communicating effectively with educational teams.
Atypical Parenting Collective utilizes data-informed strategies and observation, distinct from therapy. The focus remains on solutions and goals, with evidence and compassion guiding progress and meaningful change.
VIEW OUR SERVICES
A safe, honest, and judgment-free environment is provided for parents, ensuring empathy and support rather than shame or blame during times of uncertainty or frustration.
The coaching approach at Atypical Parenting Collective is grounded in data-informed strategies and practical observation, remaining distinct from therapy.
While therapy may focus on healing, processing emotions, or addressing mental health diagnoses, coaching services provide actionable tools, real-world strategies, and everyday support for parenting and advocacy. Many families benefit from both therapy and coaching, as the services complement each other.
The role of Atypical Parenting Collective is to equip families with knowledge, confidence, and resources to navigate daily challenges and school systems, while honoring each family's unique needs.
Support is never one-size-fits-all. Every family receives a personalized roadmap designed for unique needs, with a focus on understanding and connection—delivered by an organization committed to client success.
